Sport and Recreation Team Leader

Leading the Sport and Recreation team in Kalkarindji, you will be responsible to contribute to the provision of a high standard of sport and recreation programs for the community by actively engaging with all local community members. Undertaking the coordination and promotion of sport & recreational activities in the communities of Kalkarindji and Daguragu, your duties will include (but not limited to); Engaging and incorporating cultural activities with sports and recreation for all community members; Assisting in the development of plans to a strategic level to ensure the effective delivery of sport and recreation activities in the future within the community.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop staff from a range of backgrounds, with proven ability to communicate effectively with Indigenous people. You will be highly desired for your experience in managing sport and recreation activities and programs in a collaborative manner, with the ability to physically demonstrate these attributes. Ability to work both autonomously and cooperatively within a small team, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities with a commitment to continuous improvement to members of Kalkarindji and Daguragu communities. Experience in working in remote location with ability to work with community members to promote empowerment and encourage participation in all sport and recreational activities.
