Aged Care, Home Support and Disability Services

Council supports communities through the provision of aged care, home support and disability services from centres located in:
  • Kalkarindji and Daguragu
  • Yarralin and Lingara
  • Timber creek, Myatt, Gilwi, Bulla and Amanbidji
  • Nauiyu and Wooliana
  • Pine creek and Kybrook

Services currently available across the programs include:
  • Meals
  • Domestic assistance
  • Personal Care
  • Social Support (individual / group)
  • Transport

Service development and growth will provide increased services across the region including:
  • Connect with Clinic
  • Assistance to Centrelink
  • Case management support
  • Advocacy
  • Support with access to Respite

Over five remote communities in the Victoria Daly Region consumers ranging from 50 – 90 years of aged have been supported on a weekly basis through Aged Care service

  • CHSP – Commonwealth Home Support Program
  • HCP – Home Care Package
  • NATSIFAC – National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care  .
  • NDIS – National Disability Insurance Scheme

Significant developments have occurred across the NDIS and Aged Care sector including upgrades to facilities and wheel chair accessible buses.
