Technical Operations

The Technical Operations Team consists of four (4) employees; Manager of Infrastructure and Civil Works, Works Manager, Assets Manager and Projects Supervisor.

The team works together to manage and deliver services to our communities including Road To Recovery projects, Homelands Program, airstrip contracts, and other grant based projects and asset management.

The Technical Operations department continues to build strong relationships with Council Services Managers and staff in Communities, communicating with Community members through Council Meetings and feedback to Local Authorities.

Achievements by Community

Yarralin

  • fullfilment of the airstrip contract for the repairs and maintenance of the Yarralin and Pigeon Hole airstrip funded by the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
  • approximately $1 million spent on Yarralin road works funded through the Roads To Recovery Program
  • continued work towards the completion of the Yarralin Accommodation Quarters
  • continued work towards the upgrade of the fuel facility
  • installation of roof structure over the accommodation house at Lot 21, funded by the Department of Local Government and Community Services
  • housing repairs and maintenance to houses in Lingarra – funded by the Department of Housing and Community Development
  • municipal and essential services provided in Lingarra – funded by the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Kalkarindji and Daguragu

  • fulfilment of airstrip contract for the repairs and maintenance of the Kalkarindji airstrip funded by the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
  • completion of the installation of the Eco Toilets
  • installation of roof structure over the house at Lot 90, funded by the Department of Local Government and Community Services
  • continued work towards the improvement of the Kalkarindji Landfill with help from the BRRWMWG Coordinator, including the completion of a draft Environmental Management Plan.

Nauiyu

  • fulfilment of airstrip contract for the repairs and maintenance of the Nauiyu airstrip funded by the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
  • completion of stage two (2) fencing of the Nauiyu Airstrip, funded by the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
  • housing repairs and maintenance to houses in Wooliana – funded by the Department of Housing and Community Development
  • municipal and essential services in Wooliana – funded by the Department of Housing and Community Development.

Pine Creek

  • continued work to maintain and upgrade the Pine Creek landfill.

Timber Creek

  • fulfilment of airstrip contract for the repairs and maintenance of the Timber Creek airstrip funded by the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics
  • installation of roof structure over the house at Lot 104 Fitzer and 35 Lawler, funded by the Department of Local Government and Community Services
  • commencement of site investigations for the new Timber Creek Waste Management Facility.
