Within our Shire we have 8 communities in the northern and western regions around Katherine.
These Communities include Timber Creek, Yarrlin & Pigeon Hole and Kalkarindji/ Daguragu in the west, Pine Creek, Daly River, Peppimenarti, Palumpa and Wadeye in the North.
We have a population of around 8,285 people in an area of 168,277km squared.
Our headquarters are located in Katherine, NT with approximately 33 staff members located in Katherine, in Managerial and Administrative roles to assist the running and development of the communities.
Within the entire shire we have around 310 staff members employed as well as workers under the CDEP program.
