Timber Creek Water Management for the Oval
As we are both fiscally responsible and water conscious, the oval watering will continue at an optimum level.
This is because the oval grounds contain a high level black soil (reactionary soil), if left unwatered, will develop deep cracks and cause large sink holes which take both money and time to repair.
Currently the oval reticulation system is running on approx. 30 mins per day and our Parks and Gardens Team Leader is consistently monitoring to find the optimum time for this time of the year.
During the wet season it will run on a 10 minute cycle each day to keep the reticulation system operational and ready for the dry season.
We appreciate all the enquiries and that you continue to enjoy the use of the oval.
