The Citizen of the Year Awards are proudly sponsored by the by the Northern Territory Government and are administered by local Councils across the Northern Territory.
These awards recognise individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service over a number of years — going above and beyond their normal duties to support their local community.

🌱 Young Citizen of the Year
Nominee must be under 30 years of age on 26 January 2025.
This award recognises personal achievements and community contributions by young individuals.
💛 Citizen of the Year
Nominee must be 30 years and over on 26 January 2025.
This award celebrates those who have shown exceptional dedication, service, and positive impact in their community.
🎉 Community Event of the Year
Presented to a person, group, or organisation that has delivered an outstanding community event during the past year.
This award highlights the achievements of groups or entire communities, whether it’s a specific project or ongoing community initiative.
